I believe that in slow pitch there isn’t any.

Softball there isn’t any for slow pitch and fast pitch, batters need helmets and catchers need full equipment. I think that is it.

As a fast-pitch catcher, I needed the catching gear. You get foul tips off your mask, fastballs in the dirt that need to be blocked, etc. In slow-pitch, I only remember seeing a catcher with a mask (maybe). I also wouldn’t want to get hit in the head with a riser in fast-pitch without a batting helmet.
