im starting softball in about a week 4 high school, its my first year (im a freshman) ive played for about 6 years so i have most of the equitment but im still wondering what else i would need?

I already have:
2 bats (just bout one last year so it shold work?)
a glove (im a lefty)
batting gloves
cleats
bat bag

im trying to think about what else i can buy to be more sucsessfull?
any ideas would be great.

my girlfriend has been doing softball all her life and she is great at it. she plays catcher. now i used to play baseball for a year or two but i kinda let it go.
now i wanna get back into it and i wanna try for catcher and see how it is and so we have something we can relate to and help eachother with.
i know the chest guard is different but i dont know if the helmet, glove, and shin guards are different.
we play for the school and the seasons are at different times of the year so i was wondering if id have to buy a whole new set of catchers equipment or if i could use some of hers if it fits?
also if you guys have some sites i can look at or tips for playing catcher that would greatly help... thanks

i want to try out for my school softball team. but i don't have all the equipment for softball. i have a bat and a glove, but its a baseball glove that wouldn't help. i have the talent but none the equipment so what do i need?

talk to some of your friends that have the equipment, see if they have any old things they can give to you, or they can suggest equipment and you can buy the right gear. one thing that may help is contacting the coach. coachs know a lot about proper gear, and if you have a coach like the varsity coach at my school, they could get you settled with some good gear.
