Can one be used for the other?
the fast pitch bats are lighter and they are also longer too.
for some reason i like using a slow pitch bat when i play because i like the extra weight it has at the end of the bat. a lot of people wouldnt use a slow pitch bat for a fast pitch game but i swing better with it. it all depends on what you are comfortable with.

I have always used Demarini and by far my favorite. But whatever you feel comfortable using should be what you use. This bat rocks http://www.demarini.com/demarini/product.jsp?CONTENT%3C%3Ecnt_id=10134198674745138&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302760285
