Question by Bob W: What does it mean to "roll" a bat?
I am acquiring a new softball bat and have seen some references to bats becoming "rolled". I am assuming this aids break the bat in, but what and/or how does 1 "roll" a bat??

Been around this game for 30 years and have no concept as to what that would mean as far as acquiring a bat. That is a term utilized in hitting mechanics in which you roll more than a pitch and hit a weak ground ball.
