I have played 23 years of softball and the glove doesn't matter. I played fastpitch and slowpitch in the same year and used the same glove. No biggie. If anything it will give you a little bit of an edge because the ball is smaller. The bat is a different story. You can use a fastpitch bat, again no biggie, but it is a lighter bat. In slowpitch because it is obviously a lot slower pitch you can use a lot heavier bat like a 27oz or 28oz. Usually fastpitch bats are around 23 or 24. It will do the same thing but the heavier a bat the farther the ball will go. Good Luck!!! Slowpitch is a lot of fun.
