		<description>&lt;b&gt;It&#039;s not a fungo ...&lt;/b&gt; &lt;br&gt; It&#039;s not a fungo bat. Those are much longer. Like the fellow said, this was a style of bat used in the 1880&#039;s where the barrel wasn&#039;t much bigger than the handle. The guys didn&#039;t hit for power back in those days.</description>

It helps the coach hit the ball without using most of his strength. With the  way this designed, the bat does most of the work. Rather than an old man huffing and puffing after 4 swings.</description>
